Who We Are
Partnering to build a world where all youth can find their voices.
GYA plays an integral role in advancing the youth development agenda and co-ordination of activities of youths and young people. The Assembly works for and represents the voice of all young people in the world.
The Vision of the Assembly shall be to create a society in which an informed and active citizenry is sovereign and make informed policy and decisions for youth development.
The mission of the Assembly shall be to build and emancipate the Youths to participate in nation building through community/grassroot sensitization, empowering and engaging young people in sustainable development, democracy and the values of the One United World agenda.
a. to be a global platform which mainstreams young people into the work of the Global Youth Assembly at all levels; supporting and advocating for an enabling environment that facilitates the active participation and influence of young people in decision-making processes, and the consideration of youth-specific needs in all policy areas;
b. to partner with other relevant organizations, trade union and group(s) that share similar aim with sincerity of purpose in emancipation of the youths, to ensure an impactful and unified youth development/advancement agenda across the world.
c. to uphold the fundamental right enshrined in the constitution.
d. to promote and advocate for social inclusion, social justice and peace building, through fostering linkages and partnership with youth decision makers.
e. to encourage the Global Community that is devoid of ethnicity, tribalism and religious fanaticism, by inculcating the spirit of patriotism and nationalism among youths and citizens.
f. to coordinate from the grassroots for the advancement of youths through formation of youth discussion groups and parliaments at the community level;
g. to be a centre for mobilising, harmonising, formalising, recognising, legitimising, and prioritising the voices and actions of young people in the advancement of youth; and to be a unified voice for youths worldwide; and to encourage and extend, as appropriate, assistance to countries, in particular small states, in the promotion and acceleration of their youth development strategies;
h. to be a centre for information on youth work and development, and accordingly collect, monitor, analyse and disseminate information including the exchange of experiences and best practices in youth-led development; and to provide a website, online resources and to create project plans and campaigns so that young people can be integral in the achievement of the Global youth development agenda and sustainable development;
i. to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the One United World by promoting mutual collaboration among young people, and working in partnership in order to empower the young people without distinction of race, ethnic origin, caste, colour, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, special needs, socio-economic status, marital status, language, religious belief or political opinion; and
j. to organize seminars, symposiums, rallies, workshop and any other event of importance to positively impact the society, and to carry out programs, activities and initiatives which aimed at improving the livelihoods and promotes the well being and induction of the youths and the development of there communities;
